ABA reaffirms rule against nonlawyer ownership

The American Bar Association voted Aug. 9, at its annual meeting to approve a resolution supporting its prohibition of non-lawyer ownership. In its report the ABA added “particularly at a time when external forces threaten the profession to lessen its commitment to the public and to professional independence.” Read more at americanbar.org
