IN BRIEF
  • Frontline combines legal consulting with KL Software’s Microsoft 365 expertise
  • Partnership targets integration of document, financial, and client systems
  • Joint offering includes tech road mapping and managed IT operations

Frontline Managed Services and KL Software Technologies have formed a strategic partnership aimed at helping law firms connect and manage technology systems that often operate separately.

The companies said the partnership will combine Frontline’s legal-industry consulting and managed services with KL Software’s expertise in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, systems integration and AI-enabled workplace tools.

For law firms, the primary value proposition is reducing the fragmentation that can result when document management, financial, client and matter management, knowledge-management and collaboration systems function independently. The companies plan to provide strategy, architecture, implementation and ongoing management intended to give attorneys and staff easier access to information and reduce the need to move among disconnected applications.

The joint offering will include technology road mapping, application development, Microsoft and document-management integrations, security and information governance, and managed IT and business operations.

The partnership is intended to help firms treat their technology environment as an integrated platform rather than a collection of individual projects, with systems that can be adjusted as business and user needs change.
