  • Software supports private exhibit repository and secure sharing
  • Updates respond to client feedback for faster exhibit management

Lexitas has released an enhanced version of Lexitas Exhibit Manager, software for managing documents and exhibits during remote depositions.

The platform allows attorneys to upload exhibits into a private repository before a deposition, then mark and introduce them electronically during the proceeding. Participants can access introduced exhibits through a secure shared link.

For law firms, the main potential benefit is reducing the administrative work involved in organizing and presenting deposition exhibits while preserving a controlled process for document access. The updated software is intended to make it easier to prepare exhibits in advance and manage them during remote proceedings without relying on separate document-sharing tools or manual exhibit handling.

New features include the ability to mark Excel files, use transparent exhibit stickers, move stickers to different locations on a document, stamp multiple exhibits at once and pre-mark exhibits without formally introducing them. Exhibit stickers can include information such as the deposition date, witness name and volume number.

Lexitas said the changes were developed in response to client feedback and are intended to improve the speed and efficiency of exhibit management while maintaining accuracy.

The release reflects continued investment by litigation-service providers in tools designed to support remote and hybrid legal proceedings, particularly where lawyers must coordinate large numbers of documents among multiple participants.
